We welcome brand new yogis as well as longtime practitioners. Our classes range from slow and gentle, to sweaty and strong.
This class strings yoga postures together in a flowing sequence of breath and movement. Sequences are conducted at a moderate pace to raise the heartbeat and create warmth in the body.
(more)Seated and/or moving meditation and relaxation are a part of each class. Suitable for students with an awareness of yoga postures and comfort with sustained movement.
For beginning yoga students as well as those who want to develop their understanding of the practice of yoga.
(more)Classes will contain lengthier explanations and postures modified to students’ needs. This class includes stretches to warm the body; conscious breath; formal yoga postures; and meditation and/or relaxation. No prior experience required; open to all students.
A slower yoga class with gentle postures and emphasis on relaxation and de-stressing.
(more)The class will include warming stretches; gentle yoga postures; conscious breath; and meditation and/or relaxation. Suitable for students with some awareness of yoga postures or those wanting a mellow practice.
This alignment based flow class will help you strike a balance between ease and effort within your practice.
(more)In the spirit of investigation, you will be guided toward finding alignment in asana that best serves your unique body. Flow is explored in the sense that our breath initiates our movement and our movement informs our breath. Focusing on the journey and not necessarily the destination creates a meditative quality in the practice. Strength is built through holding postures and staying mindful in transitions. Suitable for all levels.
Students with some meditation experience will feel more comfortable here.
(more)Students unfamiliar with a meditation practice may wish to attend one of the Meditation I workshops before joining an open meditation. Open Meditations include chanting, kapalabhati, nadi suddhi, 15 to 20 minutes of silence, and closing chants.
This eclectic class will utilize Tai Chi and Kung Fu movements as the foundation to explore and expand one's inner focus and dynamic power.
(more)Concentrated deep breathing practices coupled with holographic meditative imaging inclusive to Chi Kung will be explored. Stance work and all of its facets will be explained and utilized within every class. The class will be a mixture of the hard and the soft, (yin & yang) tension and relaxation work designed to develop contrast inherent in all natural movements. The natural geometric flow patterns of Tai Chi and Kung Fu all have exciting and highly effective self-defense applications which will also be explored. The goal of every class will be to exhilarate, empower and broaden the scope of the individuals physical and spiritual bodies. With every waking breath we allow for the Awakening back to Oneness and Unity.
